Apple Martini

Apple Martini

This is a bit of a modern twist on the 80s classic Appletini, that candied apple-sweet cocktail we can leave in the past. This version takes advantage of apple-infused whiskey—try Crown Royal Apple or Jack Daniels Apple—to add a touch of sweet, citrus, and herbal notes. You can substitute the whiskey with a good quality Apple Brandy, although it will add sweetness to the final martini. Blue curaçao liqueur is preferred, but other orange-infused liqueurs can be used.

Materials

  • 2 oz Apple infused whiskey Crown Royal or Jack Daniels
  • 1/2 oz Benedictine liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Blue curacao (or other orange liqueur) Curacao will make a drier cocktail
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh apple slice & a sprig of thyme for garnish.

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add the apple whiskey, Benedictine, Curacao, and lemon juice and shake until chilled.
  • Strain into a martini cocktail glass and garnish with apple slice and thyme
