Sauvignon Blanc Punch

Is this low-ABV, easy patio sipper made with Aperol the perfect wine punch for a pleasant spring afternoon? This little number adapted from Liquor.com might just be!

Materials

  • 1/2 oz Aperol
  • 3 oz Sauvignon Blanc **
  • 1/2 oz Grapefruit juice Fresh squeezed is best
  • 1/2 oz Lemon juice Remember what I said about fresh!
  • 1/4 oz Simple syrup
  • Chilled club soda to top up

Instructions

  • Place in in a cocktail shaker and add Aperol, wine, grapefruit and lemon juices and simple syrup. and ske until well-chilled.
  • Fill a highball glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail into the glass.
  • Top with club soda and gently stir

Notes

**  A classic New Zealand sauvignon blanc would be great here as it would add a bit of grassy herbaceousness to the cocktail. Try this little number from Oyster Bay!
