A Warm Bourbon's Night
Bourbon’s popularity has rapidly risen as many new craft distillers have entered the market. The oak ageing provides tastes of vanilla, caramel, oak and spice balanced with the subtle sweetness of a predominately corn mash bill. The flavour is perfect in a warm cocktail before a cosy fire on
those cold winter evenings.
A Long Winter's Nap
This is a twist on the classic Hot Toddy mixing Bourbon with a spice-infused maple syrup. All the ingredients are readily available, and the recipe is quick and easy. The infused maple syrup can be made and stored in the refrigerator until needed. This cocktail can be served chilled over ice or lightly heated and served in a mug. And what’s more Canadian than whiskey and maple syrup? Happy holidays.
Bourbon Manhattan Martini
Ah, the classic Manhattan Martini has been around since the late 1800s. The origin of this cocktail is shrouded in mystery, but the first written mention appears around 1882. Whatever story you believe, the Manhattan Club in New York lays claim. Early recipes called for whiskey, later Canadian Rye Whiskey, which has a signature spiciness. Here, we are using Bourbon to create a softer flavour with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak.
Bourbon Hot Toddy
With cooler temperatures these days, cozy up in front of the fireplace with this warm, soothing cocktail. While we often associate a hot toddy with a cold or flu, this bourbon and honey-based cocktail won’t cure but will definitely soothe. The classic combination of honey and lemon works well with the subtle sweetness and wood from the bourbon. The perfect finish with friends and family after a meal. Enjoy.
Crushable Cranberry!
Cranberries are a must-have for our fall/holiday meals, but how about in a cocktail when gathering with friends and family? Try one of these cranberry-based cocktails to bring a smile and cheer to the season.

Festive Cranberry Cocktail
If you are like many of us and make cranberry sauce from scratch, save a few berries for this holiday-inspired cocktail, which blends simple sugar with fresh cranberries and bourbon.
Cosmopolitan Martini
This is a wonderful cocktail for the season. Use your favourite vodka, or to kick up the flavour, try a lemon-infused vodka such as Absolut Citron or Ciroc Limonata.
